Tracy Morgan Blames Food Poisoning
Tracy Morgan Blames Food Poisoning: Tracy Morgan has revealed that food poisoning was the reason behind his sudden illness during Monday’s Heat-Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. The actor and comedian assured fans that he is “doing OK” in an Instagram post on Tuesday morning. Along with a smiling photo from his hospital bed, Morgan expressed gratitude for the concern and support he received.
In his usual comedic style, Morgan suggested that his health episode might have been a lucky charm for the Knicks. “I’m doing OK now, and doctors say it was food poisoning,” he wrote. “Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me, and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!”
He continued his lighthearted take on the incident by joking that his sickness might be a good omen for the team. “More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court, so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs,” he quipped, adding the hashtag #GoKnicks.
Morgan’s illness disrupted the game in the third quarter, with 6:09 remaining, as arena staff worked to clean the area around his seat. The delay lasted over ten minutes, but the Knicks ultimately secured a 116-95 victory over the Heat.
A longtime Knicks fan, Morgan, 56, was recently in the spotlight during the “Saturday Night Live” 50th anniversary weekend, appearing at both “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert” and the live “SNL50: The Anniversary Celebration” special.
He is also set to star in an upcoming NBC comedy pilot alongside Daniel Radcliffe. In the show, Morgan will portray a disgraced former football player attempting to rebuild his reputation.
Morgan has faced serious health challenges in the past, including a kidney transplant in 2010 and a traumatic brain injury from a 2014 accident involving a tractor-trailer, which left him in a coma. Despite these hardships, he continues to bring humor and resilience to his life and career.
